Julia de Bretton-Gordon - Fowler Fortescue – Independent Chartered Surveyors specialising in Rural Asset, Land & Estate Management

Julia is a planning and development surveyor working on complex projects across rural estates and property portfolios, with a focus on project delivery and infrastructure.

Her background is in commercial development, having started her career with a prime London development company before moving into large-scale infrastructure work, managing major projects on behalf of the Ministry of Defence across Salisbury Plain.

With over 25 years’ experience in project management, Julia works on some of the more complex and larger-scale projects undertaken by Fowler Fortescue, overseeing projects from early planning stages through to delivery on site.

Her work includes a wide range of developments, from new build commercial units and the conversion of agricultural buildings to infrastructure delivery and the refurbishment of listed properties.

Julia focuses on ensuring projects are properly structured from the outset. She manages timelines, budgets and coordination across teams, while ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and the integration of health and safety throughout the project lifecycle.  This ensures projects are delivered effectively in practice.

She takes a collaborative approach, working closely with clients, contractors and professional teams to ensure projects are progressed and delivered successfully.
