Grace Hockenhull

MRICS | Associate Director
Grace Hockenhull Fowler Fortescue Biography

Grace focuses on the management and optimisation of property assets across rural and mixed portfolios, working at the intersection of commercial performance, stakeholder priorities and sustainability.

Growing up on her family’s stud farm, she developed an early understanding of how land, business and responsibility intertwine in practice, something that continues to inform the way she approaches estate work today.

Her experience spans asset and estate management, with a focus on asset utilisation, development planning, budget management and residential compliance. She is comfortable working across complex ownership structures and stakeholder environments, and is used to balancing operational priorities with longer-term objectives.

Prior to joining Fowler Fortescue, Grace worked at The Jockey Club, managing assets across part of a 7,500-acre portfolio and leading on capital projects, lease management and diversification. Her work included high-profile and sensitive locations such as Newmarket and Epsom, where commercial, environmental and community interests needed to be carefully balanced.

Grace has a strong interest in sustainability and the built environment, with a focus on how it can be implemented in practice. She completed the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership course in Sustainable Real Estate, and has been involved in projects relating to carbon management, biodiversity and environmental policy.

She brings a considered and professional approach to her work, and is confident operating across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups. Alongside her professional career, Grace has competed internationally in rowing, including representing Great Britain at the European Universities Games, reflecting the discipline and commitment she brings to her work.
