Emma Hughes - Fowler Fortescue – Independent Chartered Surveyors specialising in Rural Asset, Land & Estate Management

Emma works across rural estates with a focus on estate management and property-related decision-making, bringing a strong combination of technical expertise and market awareness. She is known for her ability to understand how property is positioned, presented and perceived, and how this influences both interest and value.

Her background in estate agency, where she was involved in the marketing and negotiation of prime residential property, continues to inform her approach, bringing a commercial perspective to how assets are viewed and how decisions are made.

Emma’s work includes landlord and tenant matters across residential, commercial and agricultural property, including lease renewals, rent reviews and the negotiation of new agreements. She is also involved in estate diversification, with a particular focus on income generation through leisure and tourism, alongside supporting property transactions and ongoing asset management.

She combines technical knowledge with a practical understanding of how property performs in the market, ensuring estate decisions are commercially informed and grounded in reality.

Emma holds a Masters in Rural Estate Management, alongside her qualifications as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV).
