Patrick Durnford
Patrick focuses on identifying and unlocking value within rural estates, working across land and property to shape commercially viable opportunities.
He is known for his commercial instinct and entrepreneurial approach, often working on transformational opportunities that sit within underutilised assets or require a different way of thinking to bring forward. Taking an outcome-led approach, he focuses on his client’s goals and aspirations to deliver ideas that are both commercially viable and sustainable over time.
Patrick brings a breadth of knowledge across commercial, leisure and residential portfolios, alongside extensive and varied landholdings, underpinned by a deep understanding of the rural sector. This allows him to assess opportunities quickly, recognise patterns and connections, and progress ideas in a way that aligns with the wider estate and his client’s long-term objectives.
A clear example of this is the Chicklade Super Hub project, where the strategic potential in an unappealing petrol station was identified and through acquisition and bold redevelopment has become a significant commercial opportunity, forming part of the estate’s long-term strategy.
Patrick works across a range of estates including the Fonthill Estate, supporting both the ongoing management of estates and the development of opportunities that contribute to their long-term performance.
He brings a commercially focused and entrepreneurial approach, underpinned by sound judgement and a clear sense of direction. Straightforward and approachable, he also has the determination to see opportunities through.
